THe Foote'sFoote Family, Story Based On Our Son
The Foote family is like any family in America. They work hard, go to church, love adventure, are active and no matter what they do, they do it as a family. None of that changed on October 19, 2004 when their son Trey was diagnosed with cancer. The entire family laced up their boots and attacked cancer. Throughout their journey with cancer they never lost their faith and determination, and happiness. Trey and the family never let Trey's situation control their attitude. The family was blessed to have the love and support of their entire community and for that they are eternally grateful. And the fight continues! In 2007 the Foote family started the Trey Foote Foundation. A non-profit dedicated to cancer education, cancer research and awarding an annual scholarship. Since forming, the Trey Foote Foundation has awarded almost $100,000 in scholarships and funding cancer research projects at OHSU and Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute. Together we will finish the fight cancer started! |
